High-Voltage Polymer Tantalum SMT Capacitors - T521 Series

KEMET T521 series high-voltage polymer capacitors are designed for input applications such as 12 V, 24 V, and 48 V power rails. This series demonstrates excellent high-voltage handling capabilities and is used as a replacement for other high-capacitance components such as traditional MnO₂ tantalum and aluminum electrolytic capacitors.

The use of tantalum anode provides a high-energy density capacitor solution, revealing capacitance stability with voltage, temperature range, and lifespan. The polymer cathode system allows for extremely low ESR, high ripple current handling, and a safe failure mode.

The T521 series can be safely operated for continuous duty at 90% of the rated voltage and can withstand transient conditions up to the rated voltage of the component. This series is ideally suited for high-efficiency power supplies, high-reliability applications, space- or weight-restricted applications, outdoor environments, and any other application that desires a compact design, high performance, and long life expectancy.
