CP Series Pressure Sensors for CPAP, BiPAP, and APAP Applications

The Superior Sensor Technology CP series sensor module family employs NimbleSense™, a proprietary architecture that integrates two advanced piezoresistive sensing elements, ADC, DSP, and processor intelligence in a single package. Available in shared 3-port and dedicated 4-port configurations for maximum design flexibility, the CP series is a true sub-system that includes two different pressure sensors (differential and gauge). The CP series is ideal for sleep apnea and other respiratory applications.

The CP series accurately measures dry air and non-aggressive gas pressure with a stable zero point. Its industry-leading non-linearity is typically within ±0.15% of the selected range. The series delivers a wide dynamic range and peak performance, supporting ranges from as low as ±250 Pa for the differential pressure sensor to as high as ±6 kPa for the gauge pressure sensor. Unlike competing solutions, which degrade at lower pressure ranges, the CP series with multi-range capability maintains optimal performance even down to ±250 Pa. The sensors enable the detection of snoring, improving patient treatment with PAP machines.

With advanced optional filtering to remove unwanted noise from the fan output, noise-induced mixing errors are virtually eliminated.
