Webcam Privacy Friend

I made a motorized cover for my webcam in the shape of an eyeball. It automatically closes its eyelid after a certain amount of time, which is the main reason it is better than the piece of tape I was using to block my webcam before. Follow along with the build in the video above. Odd_Jay also helped consult on this project!

Supplies for this project:

• Micro servo motor
• Servo motor extension wire (or make your own with ribbon cable and header pins)
• Trinket M0 microcontroller or your other favorite Arduino-compatible
• Potentiometer
• Momentary switch
• DS3231 Realtime clock module (RTC)
• 3D printer (I used my Creality CR10s-pro)
• PLA filament in white, black, and two additional colors of your choice
• Solderless breadboard
• Prototyping wires
• USB cable
• Proto board
• Solid-core hookup wire
• Soldering iron and solder
• Wire strippers
• Flush diagonal cutters
• Helping third hand tool
