The IC’s low quiescent current extends battery run time in portable battery-powered applications. A single capacitor provides both low-noise operation and reference soft-start. The devices’ circuit protection includes: reverse output, reverse battery and current protection, current limit with power foldback, plus thermal shutdown with hysteresis protection. All of these features provide for robust performance in harsh environments.
