ams OSRAM’s OSTAR projection power LEDs feature next generation isolated chip technology with super high current density

Image of ams Osram's OSTAR® Projection Powerams OSRAM’s OSTAR projection power LEDs provide super high-power RGB chips and high reliability. They support both LED and laser light source solutions in addition to direct time-of-flight (dToF) sensing solutions for projection applications. Etendue match to 0.33” DLP for up to 880 lm (4-channel) 6.8 mm x 7.6 mm compact size package. These LEDs support up to a 4-channel system design with amber, converted green, blue, and deep blue LEDs. They feature next generation isolated chip technology with super high current density and a copper MCPCB-based SMT package.

  • 8.0 A (~ 6.6 A/mm²) for (deep) blue and converted green
  • SMT PCB substrate with isolated solder pad for easy thermal system design
  • 5.5 A (~ 4.5 A/mm²) for amber serial chip connection with lower VF enables lower complexity of LED driver
  • Superior reliability and lifetime performance
  • P1MS light source lifetime can outperform lamp-based and laser-base light sources
