The LTC2641 is part of a family of unipolar and bipolar DACs that are capable of producing an output voltage between 0V and +5V. The LTC2642 is a very similar DAC that offers the same ±1 LSB INL and ±1 LSB DNL precision specifications, but bonds out the connection to the internal feedback resistors in order to offer an effective output range of -5V to +5V. In addition to very good INL and DNL, both DACs also offer ±2 LSB maximum offset error and ±5 LSB maximum gain error. These figures represent some of the best available DC specifications available on the market today. Both the LTC2641 and LTC2642 are offered in tiny 3mm x 3mm DFN and MSOP packages.
