PTQ Series ABS Boxes

To provide a more economical option for indoor use, Bud Industries introduces an ABS version of the PTQ Series. The PTQ Series of plastic enclosures from Bud Industries is ready to ship, with 24 new models added to expand one of Bud’s most popular enclosure families. The line now supports a wide range of applications, from compact electronics to industrial controls to larger industrial systems. Sizes start at 4.72 inches × 3.54 inches × 2.76 inches and extend up to 32.68 inches × 24.80 inches × 7.28 inches, with an additional deep enclosure option measuring 24.80 inches × 20.87 inches × 10.04 inches. All PTQ enclosures feature hinged covers, making installation, wiring, and ongoing maintenance easier in real-world applications. They feature latching covers for quick access. Use these quality enclosures in indoor applications only.

These ABS plastic enclosures are designed for indoor environments while still delivering 1K impact resistance, a continuous gasket seal, and an IP67 rating to protect against dust and temporary water submersion. The ABS models offer a strong balance of durability and cost efficiency, making them well suited for control panels, communications equipment, and general factory installations where UV exposure is limited.

For outdoor or more demanding environments, the PTQ series is also available in a polycarbonate and fiberglass blended material. These enclosures provide enhanced environmental resistance and are offered in the same size range as the ABS versions, allowing easy standardization across projects. Like the ABS models, they are IP67-rated. Cover options vary by material: ABS enclosures are available with opaque covers only, while polycarbonate and fiberglass models are available with both clear and opaque covers, giving designers flexibility when internal visibility is required.
